Glitter Eye Make Up Ideas Summer

At the Dior Spring/Summer Haute Couture show, John Galliano sent out a bevy of brightly dressed, models-as-society-beauties; all with eyes that were loaded with glitter. Glitter on the eyes is nothing new, but for the party season you just have to go wild in my opinion! So any big nights from now to New Year is a chance for you to experiment with different coloured glitter – iridescent green and bright gold are hot right now, but bronze is a good starter colour. I have some easy application tips for glitter.

1.First advice do not do your base makeup first. Start with eyes… As it will get messy!2. So that your eyes will stand out in the mass of glitter, use a black or dark brown eyeliner. As a base smudging in with your finger. Take this right into the crease area, Try Vivo’s eye liner pencil in black, £1.50 it’s my favourite eye pencil at the moment as it’s so creamy and pigmented!3.Dab some vaseline where you want to apply the glitter – so all over eyelids.

4. Using an eye-shadow brush, apply the glitter on the eyelids. Press the brush against the centre of the lid. Use firm, short strokes to spread the flecks across your eyelid, working from the centre to the outer corner of the eye, then from the inner corner back to the centre.5.For an avant-garde vibe, take the glitter right out to the top of the cheekbones, in a winged look. It should almost appear as though you’ve been crying glitter.

Add more vaseline first if you need it.6.Remove any of that unwanted glitter and start applying your base makeup as normal. You can just play with glitter all the time so do experiment as remember makeup and glitter can just be removed! So dont be afraid! It’s going to be a messy glitter ball… Have fun
