Latest Men Hair Styles 2013 Summer

Something strange has happened to Robert Pattinson ever since Kristen Stewart cheated on him — he's become cool. Aside from starring in R-rated flicks like Cosmopolis (with more action thrillers in the works) and a rumored sexting affair with Taylor Swift, he's also managed to transform his formerly out-of-control hair into something more manageable, versatile, and accessible.Pre-scandal, his hair was undone around the sides and ears, the top was too long, and despite his many explanations, we still don't get exactly what made it take up such awry positions. In essence, it was bad boy, but in reality, it was just bad. Today's version is the right one — bad boy who can play good, or vice versa. "Cut to conservative proportions but textured so you can still make it edgy," Elle Medico, men's stylist at Paul Labrecque Salon in New York City, tells us.

"The sides are about a quarter inch down to skin, blended into the top, which is at about 2 or so inches," she explains. "Ask your stylist to cut the top very jagged, textured with a straight razor, even." To style, you can towel dry and push it back by hand, and then to your preferred side. To get the perfect tame but roughed-up feel, run some Bumble and Bumble Texture Hair (Un)Dressing cream though with your fingers — it'll hold without being noticed (i.e., it doesn't look greasy). The style will now work for most, though it's worth noting it will probably exaggerate your face if it's long and thin, and will look desperate and misconceived if you've got extremely curly, coarse, or thinning hair. It takes about 3-5 weeks to grow out and can be easily cleaned up with a light trim around the neck, ears and sideburns — no need to wait for the love of your life to break your heart.

You probably know Alexander Skarsgård as the chivalrous, villainous, vampire on HBO's True Blood — the one with the hair style your lady loves. Or, as Elle Medico, a men's stylist at Paul Labrecque Salon puts it, "His hair is conservative, but a little a different. It has more style."She adds that any guy can achieve this look, and that it works especially well if you've got a receding hairline. "Longer up front and shorter everywhere else gives the illusion of a fuller head of hair." If you've got wavy hair, it'll turn out more like Patrick Dempsey, and if you've got curly hair, it won't really turn out well. Sorry. This one also looks best if you've got a square jaw, but will work with just about any face shape.
